Heroes

Gerald Sibleyras' delightful French comedy achieves a seductive fusion of the comic, sad and absurd.

Veterans of the First World War were often retired at relatively young ages, often living-out the remainder of their lives in French military hospitals – in some cases for 30 years or more.

Translated by Tom Stoppard, this moving snapshot of the daily lives of three of these irascible veterans opened at  London's Wyndham's Theatre on 18 October 2005, featuring Richard Griffiths, John Hurt and Ken Stott.

Our sterling cast from the Nonentities will take on these roles in the intimate setting of our studio
